  1. WELCOME TO THE BETA DEMO OF PRIME TARGET!

  3. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

  5. The full version will run on any PowerMac computer with at least 8MB of RAM.  This beta demo, however, requires a PowerMac with at least 16MB of RAM

  7. ABOUT THIS BETA DEMO:
  8.  
  9. Prime Target is a mixture of interactive mystery and 3D shoot-em-up.  It takes place in the year 2004 A.D. in Washington D.C.  At the end of this document is a brief description of the story.

  11. In the full version of Prime Target, the game begins with a number of Quicktime videos, including a news broadcast setting the scene for the story.  The demo versions of Prime Target do not have any Quicktime videos.  Instead, they give a text description of the story.  Also, the full version includes background music.

  13. This version includes the first three levels only.  Don't worry too much if you haven't solved the mystery by the third level.  Things become much more apparent as you collect more clues later in the game.

The keyboard defaults have been pre-set to the PC Doom settings in this demo version.  You can change your keyboard setup to the Marathon pre-sets in the Prime Target Preferences.  You can also, of course, customize the keyboard layout to virtually any keys.  Keep in mind that a few new keys have been added:
  16.   -You must select your weapon by pressing one of the number keys.
  17.   -You can jump by pressing "A."  
  18.   -You can crouch by pressing "Z."  
  19.   -You can view an active inventory item by pressing "RETURN."
  20.   -You can view all your inventory by pressing "\." 
  21.   -You can scroll through your inventory with the "["  and "]" keys.

  23. Networking is not included in this demo version, but will be available in the final version along with many special networking levels.

A powerful senator is brutally murdered while working late in her Washington D.C. office. Now you must solve the mystery of her death in this action-packed 3D shoot-em-up.  Prime Target thrusts you into the most dynamic Mac gaming world ever.  Blood splatters on the wall.  Glass shatters in your face.  And the interactive mystery challenges your intellect as you hunt the killers in Washington’s corridors of power.
